PLANNING THE sitemap.
After great research from the internal team we were able to identify the priority goals of the website. By doing this, it allowed us to put emphasis on what content is important. This informed us to quickly determine what elements of the site should be heavily focused on.
Building a component library
The Kentucky Bourbon Trail component library establishes a consistent, scalable design system across the website. Built in Figma, it includes reusable UI components and patterns that maintain visual consistency, streamline design workflows, and support efficient development as the digital experience evolves..
The DESIGN
The design phase focused on creating a cohesive, intuitive digital experience that brings the Kentucky Bourbon Trail brand to life. Through thoughtful layouts, clear navigation, and reusable design patterns, the experience makes it easier for visitors to discover destinations, explore experiences, and plan their own bourbon trail adventure.
The redesigned Kentucky Bourbon Trail website delivers a more engaging, user-centered experience that connects visitors with Kentucky’s bourbon destinations. By combining a cohesive design system, intuitive navigation, and a custom trip builder, the platform makes it easier to discover distilleries, save favorites, and create personalized itineraries.
